Festive nights away from the kids in December

They say that you'll wait ages for a bus and then three come along at once and that is exactly what's happening to me next month with not one, not two but three child-free nights away in December. Woohoo! I'm really going to make the most of them as God only knows when this will happen again.

First of all, it's an overnight trip to Manchester with three of my oldest friends. My friend Jo lives in Manchester and I'm visiting with Michelle, Kelly and Claire. We're all catching the train and spending the night. I honestly can't remember the last time we spent this amount of time all together as there's always one of us who can't make it for one reason or another. I can't wait! There will be lots of drinking, eating and gossiping and I am super excited to hit up Manchester Christmas Markets!

Shortly after that trip it's my birthday and Steve and I are booked in Malmaison on Newcastle Quayside. This is a blog collab for North East Family Fun and I can't wait to stay. We're going to start our day with lunch at Cote Brasserie as I've been dying to take Steve after I attended a blogger preview with Chloe. This will be followed by a few drinks heading down towards the Quayside. I asked for suggestions over on Instagram and based on this we're hoping to visit The Forth, Tiger Hornsby, Bridge Tavern, Broad Chare & The Glass House. Let's see if we can visit them all! We're booked in for dinner at the Mal (fingers crossed for a table with a view) and then think we'll finish our evening with a few drinks in the Mal bar. I hope I don't end up with *too* much of a hangover though as we're planning on hitting the Grainger Market the following day to buy our Christmas Cheeses and Cured Meats.

Our third and final child-free night is also a special one - a night at Jesmond Dene House Hotel with 10 of my blogging pals. We're booked in for a full festive dinner and Steve and I have booked to stay over too. We're often so caught up in taking photographs at blogging events that we don't get much of a chance to chat so it's going to be super nice to spend some time together without the pressure of blogging hanging over of us. I'm pretty sure this is going to be the night I end up drinking a little too much as it's my blogger friends who are the worst influence......I'm sure a JDH breakfast the following morning will sort me out though.

My diary is so packed with festive activities but I have to say, I'm really looking forward to these three nights. Let me know if you have any nights out planned next month.
