After the longest January known to man, I entered February with lots of hope. We play a game during our walk to school where we try to spot signs of the changing seasons and I was sure we'd start to see buds on the trees and a little bit of green during our walk. But no, nothing. Mother Nature clearly isn't ready for Spring yet and instead of daffodils and bluebells we were rewarded with the most horrendous snow storms seen in recent years. Urgh!
As I type this on 8 March, the temperature is still -1 dread going outside and I am so over it! Please tell me we don't have too much longer to wait for the first signs of Spring. I really don't want to be taking part in Easter Egg hunts wearing a Winter coat and wellies!
1 - Listening to the birds tweeting
Do birds even Tweet in winter? If they do, I certainly don't notice it. I love working from home and listening to the birds happily chirp outside.
2 - Feeling sunshine on your skin
I can't even remember what this feels like and I am desperate for some natural warmth on my skin. I can't wait for my first coat-less walk to school.
3 - Filling your house & garden with fresh flowers
I must admit, I've already started with this one and my house is currently filled with daffodils. They are only £1 a bunch and really brighten a room and your mood. No doubt we'll be heading to our local garden centre over the next few weeks planting some new flowers in our garden.
4 - Spring cleaning & home makeovers
I've already started my 30 day March De-clutter challenge and it feels so good! I love that Spring inspires us to have a good old clear out and freshen up our home.
5 - Watching nature at it's best
Nothing beats walking home from school and admiring the Cherry Blossom on the trees and snowdrops on the ground. I love that Spring brings out the best in nature and is filled with baby chicks, lambs and lots of pretty wild flowers.

Let me know why you can't wait for Spring!
I honestly can't wait for Spring! (Birds to tweet in winter but not as often. Or so I believe, they tweet in my Dad's garden all year round.) Katie x
